91 / 100 - Cairn
Jan 29, 2026

Cairn is a demanding and deeply personal experience that effectively combines physics simulation, resource management, and environmental storytelling. We'll be immersed in the feeling of facing a real challenge, where every decision matters and the mountain is perceived as a relentless enemy. It won't be a game for everyone, especially those seeking immediate accessibility, but if we connect with its premise, we'll discover an intense, meditative, and absorbing adventure that rewards patience, observation, and precision. Cairn transforms seemingly simple mechanics into a memorable experience and establishes itself as a benchmark within the climbing and survival genre.

DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS is a near-perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Its developers have managed to update the formula in a way that is irresistible even to those less familiar with musou games and Chinese history, and on Switch2 this experience remains intact, now with the option to play in handheld mode and with adapted controls, making it an even more accessible way to get started with the saga.

Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons offers an entertaining reimagining of the classic series, combining bubble-blowing mechanics with dynamic dungeons and a progression system that adds some depth. Its colorful aesthetic and the inclusion of classic content add charm and nostalgia, but the repetitiveness of some levels and certain difficulty spikes prevent the experience from being entirely perfect. Even so, it's an entertaining game that can appeal to both veterans and newcomers, albeit with some reservations.

Stars In The Trash is an adventure that stands out for its sensitivity, hand-drawn art, and emotional impact. Its simple gameplay and leisurely pace make it a relaxing experience, ideal for those seeking something more contemplative than challenging. Despite its brevity, it leaves a good impression thanks to its coherence and the connection it forges with the player. While not without a few rough edges, this is a very solid debut from Valhalla Cats that confirms their talent for this type of experience.

The System Shock remake, now available on Nintendo consoles after its release on other systems, remains extremely faithful and respectful to the original, preserving all its strengths and also some of its slightly archaic or outdated elements. This fidelity continues to delight fans of the original title, but it presents a barrier to attracting new players. The Nintendo versions expand the game's accessibility and offer new control options, although the performance on the Switch 2 is still not entirely polished. Nevertheless, System Shock remains a demanding, fascinating title, as unwilling to compromise today as it was in 1994.

Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal is a re-release that respects the essence of the classic and effectively adapts it to the Nintendo Switch. The freedom of the missions, the creativity in the assassinations, and the quality-of-life improvements keep the experience engaging, although the limited framerate, inconsistent AI, and some minor bugs do affect the smoothness at times. Even so, for those who enjoy stealth and planning, it remains a very enjoyable and replayable version. The portable experience allows you to comfortably relive the classic, preserving its character, but its technical limitations should be kept in mind.

Neon Inferno is one of those games that hooks you from the first minute and doesn't let go. Everything is designed to make each game intense and challenging, yet fair.
