Assassin's Creed Unity on Stadia is a good game - and I'd like to see more series entries like this one. A proper remaster with all the technical glitches fixed might be a good start.

81 / 100 - Rush Rally 3

Looking for a rally simulation on the Switch, it's not possible to overlook Rush Rally 3.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the best Assassin's Creed game for me so far. This time, I think once again that Odyssey should have been like this game already. Some technical hiccups are there, but Ubisoft learnt from the weaknesses of the predecessor and casts a beautiful world to explore and enjoy.

Submerged: Hidden Depths is a good sequel - it doesn't do too many new things, but delivers a great atmosphere and a relaxed experience. Also suitable for anyone looking for something like The Last of Us but without the weapons.

73 / 100 - Twin Mirror
Dec 6, 2020

DONTNOD doesn't disappoint with its diverse cast and the interesting concept of Sam's mind palace. A bit of gloss is however missing to Twin Mirror and it feels like a grey loner compared to some other games the studio has made.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a good musou game that well fits in a tiny bit of the Breath of the Wild formula, but especially the art. Oh, and it's one of the few musou games where I actually care about the story.

77 / 100 - Pacer
Nov 21, 2020

Pacer ended up as a better game than I expected it to be. It has many good aspects, great tracks and the speed is insane. Motivation however never really takes off.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is the best Need for Speed game EA and its studios have launched this generation.

83 / 100 - DiRT 5
Nov 2, 2020

DIRT 5 brings you a lot of fun - as a very diverse arcade racing, it's nothing of the simulation DIRT 4 partly was. DIRT 5 is a bit unfinished at times though, with a lot of tearing on Xbox One X and the career mode also seems lukewarm.

82 / 100 - Cloudpunk
Oct 24, 2020

You can enjoy Cloudpunk because of its great atmosphere and a dense metropolis that makes you feel like the big crash is imminent once the leading AI makes a mistake. Also, Cloudpunk features a strong narrative. The PS4 port is rather weak.

93 / 100 - Pumpkin Jack
Oct 23, 2020

Pumpkin Jack is my new favourite platformer this generation. With a great atmosphere, design and a deeply diverse gameplay, Jack's journey might not be the longest one, but a motivating one nonetheless!

93 / 100 - Inertial Drift
Oct 6, 2020

Inertial Drift is like a great old-school racing game with a unique concept. It's easy to learn and hard to master - with a beautiful style und lots to unlock. A great experience!

51 / 100 - Ride 4
Oct 5, 2020

Ride 4 shows a lot of passion for motorsports and the bikes but not for the game itself. A solid technical performance is shattered by a useless AI. Ride 4 might be the best choice for a motorbike simulation on consoles - but just because any competition is missing.

89 / 100 - Feather
Sep 29, 2020

Feather is something special. It shows me how good games with a sole focus on exploration can work. How many freedom they can give you. You can just sit down and relax. Or enjoy speeding through the air.

85 / 100 - art of rally
Sep 27, 2020

art of rally exactly knows what it wants to be and reaches every finish line with ease. It's simple yet sophisticated. And certainly, it's not a rally game like any other.

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a delight with its diverse group of heroes and deep gameplay. Every joke is the best when you hear it for the first time, however. Therefore, replay value is rather low.

80 / 100 - The Touryst
Sep 16, 2020

The Touryst feels like a tiny game at first - but it reveals a lot of depth and freedom in the end. Especially fascinating is the super smooth gameplay and performance. The only thing I was missing in the end was a kind of bigger narrative to support the overall atmosphere.

42 / 100 - Tamarin
Sep 14, 2020

Tamarin ended up as a big disappointment for me. I imagined the cute platformer that it could have been again and again. But the Uzi that you receive in minute five changes everything - and the inaccurate shooting mechanics and horrible camera don't even make shooting with it enjoyable. There are a lot of good ideas in Tamarin but they have not been executed well.

84 / 100 - Hotshot Racing
Sep 8, 2020

Hotshot Racing is exactly the kind of racing game that I've missed for a while. It reminds me of the great racers of my youth but is modernized in every suitable way - apart from the AI, probably. There are also some technical hiccups on PS4 Pro.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons is a game to love - its dungeons have deserved a prize. I never had so much fun with puzzles in videogame dungeons. The semi-open world, however, seems unfinished in comparison, which costs a lot of the charm.
