9 / 10.0 - CrossCode
Jul 16, 2020

CrossCode is a well-executed and interesting story, with a charismatic world, captivating characters, an addictive combat system and creative puzzles. The result is a game that was visibly made from the heart. Even with imperfections in performance and other details, the action RPG from Radical Fish Games proves to be a hidden gem that deserves all possible recognition.

The combination of sports and RPGs is on its honeymoon with the arrival of Dodgeball Academia. Standing out for its addictive gameplay and overflowing with charisma, it proves itself as a Brazilian pearl that deserves all the success in the world. You can see the affection of the developers in every little animation and every little detail of the scenario, to the point that our hearts just can't help but fall in love with this exciting universe.

Much more than a simple expansion, Sunbreak is practically a title apart from Rise. Delivering everything it promised and then some, the expansion perfectly captures the essence that turned the monster-hunting franchise into the worldwide success it is today. While not as colossal as Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, the content present here could easily be worth more than the price of many recent industry releases.

8.5 / 10.0 - CARRION
Aug 3, 2020

Taking control of a dark tentacled monster and terrorizing everything that exists is much more fun than it looks. The experience of playing Carrion is short lived, but carries a good potential to generate indescribable sensations in the player's skin.

8.5 / 10.0 - Togges
Jan 13, 2023

I admit that I didn't expect anything from Togges when I started playing it, but it didn't take long for me to become addicted to exploring every corner of this world created with such attention to detail. Giving a true lesson in level design and exploration, the adventure brings a refreshing perspective that made me rethink the 3D platformer genre as a whole.

8 / 10.0 - Minoria
Sep 15, 2020

Minoria proves itself as an excellent indie Metroidvania to spend time on Switch. The tragic adventure does not bring new ideas to the genre, but it offers a agile experience that fulfills the basics in a very competent way. Featuring an interesting history and a charming art style, you can see that this Brazilian title was made with great care.

8 / 10.0 - ScourgeBringer
Oct 22, 2020

Betting on a frantic combat system and extremely accurate gameplay, Scourgebringer offers one of the most stylish and addictive games in the Switch indies catalog. Flying Oak Games' roguelike also shines in terms of accessibility and soundtrack, but sins a lot in the limited variety of enemies, weapons and different upgrades available in each attempt. There are several problems that prevent the title from equaling the quality of the greatest contemporary roguelikes, but the main flaw is in the recurring bugs in the game's performance. Even so, the exceptional combat manages to raise Scourgebringer to a level well above the average. Anyone who likes hack ’n slashes and frantic action is sure to enjoy it.

Journey of the Broken Circle is a short experience that is worth playing at least once in your life. Featuring an adventure meticulously built to make the player reflect on himself, this little indie stands out among the rest despite its shallow gameplay.

8 / 10.0 - ANNO: Mutationem
Sep 14, 2022

Anno: Mutationem is a great action RPG that can, and should, win over any player who wants to give its rich Cyberpunk world a chance. Even without shining so much, the combats work within their purpose and the narrative manages to deliver a thought-provoking story with charismatic characters and deep moments. The game's performance on Nintendo Switch isn't the best, but the game is still worth it as a whole.

I can safely say that Star Wars Dark Forces Remastered was made by a team that really admires and respects the legacy of the original 1995 title. The extras and graphic updates introduced in this remaster are really welcome, but, at the end of the day, it's still little to make it an attractive offer for those who already have the classic PC version.

Despite offering an experience that needs to be faced with an open mind, Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack is still a curious collection that may well win over new fans for the franchise. If you like turn-based RPGs and time management mechanics, chances are you'll end up enjoying this journey a lot. If you are more demanding and looking for great stories, then it might be better to get away.

Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl might even be an interesting alternative to people who like competitive platform fighters, but as a videogame it's clearly a waste of potential. Luckily, Ludosity has a good history and seems to be listening to fans feedback in order to make constant updates to make the game better. However, at the time of this review, the title still offers a shallow experience for any players who aren't interested in the competitive scene.

6.5 / 10.0 - Blade Assault
Mar 30, 2023

Ignoring the extremely problematic bugs and poor performance on Switch, Blade Assault shows that it has the potential to please players who enjoy frantic action, especially during the first sessions, where you still haven't exhausted all the possibilities that the title has to present you. Unfortunately, the lack of variety in settings and diverse content is too big a problem not to negatively interfere with a game that relies on the repetitive progression cycle of a roguelite. It's still perfectly possible to have fun with Blade Assault, but the chances of getting bored quickly are higher than ideal.

Fast, simple and equally shallow, Mini Motor Racing X is an indie so basic that it could be mistaken for a generic mobile game lost in the middle of the Switch catalog. With a gameplay of ups and downs, the title manages to entertain for a while. However, it is best to walk away if you are looking for anything beyond that.

The hard truth is that Super Dungeon Maker is incomplete. It's clear that there's massive potential in the idea behind a "Zelda Maker", but it takes a lot more effort and polish to make the premise work really well for this style of play. It is hoped that with the arrival of future updates all problems involving the lack of tools and content will be resolved, because at the moment Super Dungeon Maker is still nothing more than a great promise that can only please the most assiduous fans of the classic Zeldas.

5.5 / 10.0 - Zero Zero Zero Zero
Oct 25, 2020

Boring and with many serious flaws in game design, Zero Zero Zero Zero is a title that can perhaps amuse less demanding players for about 5 minutes before they forget its existence. Damaged by poor controls and a very dubious graphic style, Alvaro Games' tiny 2D platformer unfortunately does not escape the fate of being a zero on the left.
