7 / 10.0 - Inmost
Aug 26, 2020

An immersive atmosphere is the biggest highlight of INMOST. Following the plots of the three protagonists is both attractive and disturbing because of the various topics covered and the impacting scenes. A look with few colors, lighting full of contrasts and soft music help to set up the gloomy ambience. Mechanically, the game features a good variety of styles with puzzles, action and platform moments. Unfortunately, there are some problems, such as underdeveloped aspects, unintuitive solutions and constant trial and error, which brings frustration. In the end, INMOST is a brief and interesting experience, albeit with flaws.

9 / 10.0 - Spiritfarer
Aug 18, 2020

Spiritfarer uses different characteristics to put together a great journey about moving forward. The mix of resource management, administration, item production and platform is great, mainly due to the great diversity of activities. In addition, there is an extensive world to explore, with open progression free of punishment systems. The highlight is the theme that explores death in a gentle way with countless captivating and interesting characters, reinforced by several exciting moments along the way. The ambience is exceptional, with an intricate look, well-placed music and great text, but some minor interface problems are a bit annoying. In the end, Spiritfarer proves to be a memorable and feeling-filled experience.

Dragon Marked for Death captivates with its agile and fast-paced 2D action. Completing missions in control of six different heroes is exciting and mastering their skills and peculiarities is one of the highlights of the title. The adventure can be explored alone, but it is in multiplayer that the potential is best explored: players need to coordinate their movements to be able to win, and it is fun when the strategies work. Even so, the game has some notable limitations, such as low-impact RPG aspects, uninspired level design and recycled content, characteristics that can bring a sense of repetition. In the end, Dragon Marked for Death is a reasonable experience, but it is necessary to ignore its problems in order to better enjoy it.

Necronator: Dead Wrong is a tactical and card title with great ideas. The curious combination of real-time strategy, deck building and troop management creates interesting situations in agile battles in small maps. There are good possibilities when building the commander's arsenal with cards, relics and powers, and new options are constantly appearing. However, unpleasant peaks of difficulty, too simple battles and limited variety of content hinder the experience. In the end, Necronator is a fun strategy game, but one that doesn't fully explore its own potential.

Paper Mario: The Origami King captivates with its beautiful, varied and humorous adventure. The new title of the plumber's paper franchise presents an elaborate world with a great diversity of activities and secrets that invites us to constantly explore it. The battle system, which is nothing more than a combat-looking puzzle, has some interesting ideas, although many limitations make it tiring. However, the battles against bosses are creative and exciting. The biggest highlight of the game is its great sense of humor present in unusual events, charismatic characters and sharp and fun text. Paper Mario: The Origami King may not be the role-playing game that many wanted, but it is still another creative and remarkable adventure.

6.5 / 10.0 - #Funtime
Jul 27, 2020

#Funtime is a good arcade game to enjoy uncompromisingly. In addition to the basic mechanics of moving and shooting, the title has a curious color-changing system that, unfortunately, has little impact (and even gets in the way, in some cases). Even so, there is a good variety of content spread in several mode. Simplicity can make things a bit repetitive over time, but the game is perfect for short and quick matches.

6.5 / 10.0 - Ruiner
Jun 30, 2020

Ruiner is a futuristic adventure with some interesting features, but it fails to stand out. The cyberpunk atmosphere is impeccable with its elaborate world, great art direction and electronic soundtrack. As a game, it features basic and competent shooting mechanics that have been combined with some skills that offer good possibilities and agile confrontations. However, the experience proves to be quite repetitive because of the limited structure of stages, the small variety of enemies and situations, and problems in the difficulty. In the end, Ruiner is a brief but not memorable diversion.

8 / 10.0 - Alwa's Legacy
Jun 25, 2020

Alwa’s Legacy is a smooth metroidvania with many creative moments. It is exciting to explore the kingdom of Alwa because of the non-linear progression, the diversity of moments, the many interesting puzzles and the map full of secrets. In addition, the game has a pleasant atmosphere inspired by 16-bit era classics with its pixel art look and music with chiptune elements. The open structure allows the player to set the pace of the adventure, however it is sometimes easy to get lost or stuck in complicated spots. In the end, the combination of all these elements makes Alwa’s Legacy a great 2D platform title and a really fun experience.

Signs of the Sojourner is an interesting interpretation of the art of communicating and the difficulties of the maturing process. The dialogue made through cards with symbols is simple to understand, but offers depth with the varied effects of the cards and the minimalist construction of decks. The journey through this exotic world is immersive because of the many interesting characters, beautiful locations and unique ambience, in a diversified journey made to be experienced several times. Some details, like the influence of luck and the constant inclusion of useless cards in the deck, bring a little frustration, however, I interpret it as another metaphor of the game - just like in life, we need to do the best with what we have. In the end, Signs of the Sojourner offers a different and unique narrative experience.
