That being said, the game is overall very solid. It’s easy to learn, difficult to master, and filled to the brim with smart puzzles for anyone who loves a good who done it story. If you like trying to solve the murder before the end of a mystery book or try to pick out the culprit before the TV show or movie ends, you’ll dig this game in spite of its eccentricities.

Liked-a-lot - Doomsday Vault
Aug 24, 2021

Doomsday Vault is cute, short, and sweet. It’s got a great message and an adorable little spaceman you get to control. The puzzles are fun, and the dev has promised more puzzles are on the way. Overall, I love this game. The only thing I dislike is the price.

For a simulation game with a lot to do, this game is okay. I didn’t find anything so special about it that I would pick it up over any other sim game; there are so many out there that are more fun to play and are cheaper. This game doesn’t quite do enough to stand out from the flooded building simulation market.

Liked-a-lot - Toodee and Topdee
Aug 5, 2021

Overall, this is an amazingly unique title with a lot going for it. Toodee and Topdee is one of those games that, although it has little replayability on your own, you’ll want to share with a friend through co-op play. It’s one of the most interesting puzzle platformers I’ve played in a long time, and I can’t recommend it enough to fans of the genre.

I adore this game. It’s so much fun and has tons of replayability. If you like rogue-likes or dungeon crawlers and D&D-like settings, you cannot go wrong with Rogue Wizards.

Overall, Bai Qu is everything it sets out to be. It’s deeply emotional, beautiful, story-rich, and charming. The music and the art are stunningly beautiful, and even simple things like the screen transitions are polished. There’s just not enough good things to say about this wonderful game. With a good English editor, this game could be the best visual novel I have ever played.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is a fabulous title, filled with all the beats and quirks expected from a great JRPG. The story is fabulous and the characters, both new and returning, are interesting. The customization options of the combat mean anyone can enjoy the game. From the newest of newbies all the way to combat-hardened JRPG vets that want a massive challenge. Overall, I would recommend Ys IX: Monstrum Nox to anyone who loves JRPGs or adventure anime, along with all of the other Ys titles as well.

Mixed - Mina & Michi
Jul 11, 2021

There are a lot of negatives in this list, but the positives shouldn’t be forgotten. Mina & Michi is cute, short, and a co-op two-player game that can even be played with younger kids. While it is frustrating at times, it did have some things going for it. Overall, Mina & Michi was such a mixed bag of pluses and minuses, I’m not really sure how to feel about it.

Overall, Hope’s Farm is a colorful, easy-to-learn game with a lot of replay value. This game does best in handheld mode, which is great for travel. Although it does not present anything groundbreaking or extremely exciting, the game is good cartoony fun for the whole family.

Liked-a-lot - LoopIndex
Jul 7, 2021

Overall, there just isn’t that much to complain about. LoopIndex is cheap fun that’s worth sitting down and playing solo and is even more fun with a friend. While it’s not going to break records or make history, the game is well thought out and put together. Also, since LoopIndex is available for just about every single platform that anyone could want it on, players can sit down together and play regardless of what consoles they own. I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a fun puzzle experience to share with someone.

Liked-a-lot - Merrily Perilly
Jul 6, 2021

All that being said, Merrily Perilly is probably the most fun I’ve had playing (and watching a game being played) in a long time. It’s silly, funny, colorful, and a real puzzle game. With the exception of the one dialogue option, the whole game is an absolute joy to play.

This game isn’t for everyone. I can see several of my friends really loving this title with its deep connections and choices that deeply matter to how the rest of the game plays out. There are a lot of unique and interesting ideas here, and the game is beautifully put together. While this game might not be for me, it is an amazing visual novel for those who really dig that sort of thing. It’s hard to state just how polished and pleasant the presentation of this unique title is. For what it is, Best Day Ever couldn’t be a better put together game. So if you can’t get enough of relationship simulations, visual novels, and games where choice matters, this game is certainly for you.

Dabado Puzzles is a challenging, beautiful puzzle game filled with difficult levels and amazing artwork. The surreal paintings coupled with the music, the organic puzzle pieces, and the massive amount of love and effort obviously put into it make it a wonderful thing to behold. The difficulty level is not for everyone, however, and many would be deterred by not only the RNG and lack of proper tutorial, but also having to play the same levels over and over again. That being said, it’s a must-have for those who love to conquer a big puzzle challenge and come out on top after many, many failures.
