Liked-a-lot - The Packages
Sep 7, 2022

All told, this is a solid puzzle game with a unique concept. The tutorials are well-made and well-interspersed through the game to keep from overwhelming you. The only real negative point I have for this title is that it isn’t my type of game. But if you know anyone who loves a challenging puzzle game, The Packages is a good bet for a gift.

Liked-a-lot - A Little to the Left
Nov 7, 2022

A Little To The Left is a wonderful game. It’s unique, it’s fun, it’s frustrating, it’s polished, and I’ve never seen anything like it before. In spite of the handful of annoyances, it was so worth playing. I am so glad that there will be Daily challenges in this game because I would sorely miss it if it was all over with. Overall, a wonderful title.

Liked-a-lot - Once Again
Nov 10, 2022

I really liked this visual novel; it was certainly unique. I’m not usually a big fan of these kinds of games, but there was something magical about this one. The theme is great, the story of Once Again is heartbreakingly gorgeous, the music is good, and the game does a great job of having unique art for each panel. I find that most visual novels don’t do that; there is always a lot of repeated artwork that can get dull after a while. This is a fairly inexpensive game, so if you love moving visuals novels, Once Again is a great game for you.

Cats and Sokoban – Mimi’s Scratcher is a great game. Depending on what it costs, I could recommend this game to anyone who loves little games like this. Even if you’ve never played a Sokoban-like game, this is a great title to choose for your first one.

Liked-a-lot - Fit Puzzle Blocks
Dec 24, 2022

I love free games, free puzzle games that are fun. I love little paid addons for free puzzle games so you can support the dev if you love the game. In addition, I like accessible games that can be customized to be more user-friendly, and I love games that allow me to use a controller. While block puzzles may not be my puzzle of choice, I can see a well-made block puzzle game when I see it. And while playing Fit Puzzle Blocks, I definitely saw one.

Overall, Jewel Match Winter Wonderland 2 Collector’s Edition has a lot going for it. The match-3 portions of the game are great; while I didn’t like a lot of the mini-games, these are not forced on you, so you can play as many or as few as you would like. It’s a great game that’s easy to play with no bugs that I found. And there is a massive amount of content. If you like match-3 and Christmas, Jewel Match Winter Wonderland 2 Collector’s Edition is a no-brainer.

Liked-a-lot - The Shape of Things
May 27, 2023

The Shape of Things is so cute, it’s super fun, and the smooth gameplay and the puzzles are well-considered. Minus the couple of things I had issues with, The Shape of Things was nearly perfect. I love it so much. In addition, the game is cute, fun, relaxing, and worth picking up if you love these kinds of adorable little puzzle games.

Liked-a-lot - Logicats
Jun 18, 2023

I didn’t get too far into Logicats, but everything I played was unique and interesting though. While I personally don’t like Logicats, I still think it’s a very well-done game. If you think programming-style puzzles will appeal to you, I would try this little game. It’s probably one of the more polished indie puzzle games I’ve played in a bit.

Overall, Mimi the Cat – New Friends is cute, uplifting, adorable, lovingly rendered, and a fun Sokoban. I love this game, and I feel like anyone who likes Sokoban will also love it too. There is a lot of heart on display, and it’s a beautiful way to immortalize some fur friends that are no longer with you. I would say that Mimi the Cat – New Friends is about five levels and a glitch fix short of being two thumbs up from me.

Overall, Maze Of Realities: Reflection Of Light is great. There is an okay story, beautiful backgrounds, and passible humanoid animations. The all-important puzzles are well done, fun to complete, and players can choose their difficulty when playing through. There are some incredibly silly things in the story because of the animation style, but nothing outside of what to expect with these types of hidden item puzzle games. If you’re here for anything else but the puzzles, you will be disappointed. That being said, the puzzles more than make up for everything else. As I said at the beginning of the review for Maze Of Realities: Reflection Of Light if you like this sort of game already, you’ll love this one too. It’s a fun puzzle game with a lot of pretty backgrounds. And that’s all I want from one of the hidden item adventures.

Liked-a-lot - Tiny Witch
Sep 1, 2023

Tiny Witch is beautiful, adorable, wholesome, and so much fun. I loved building up my stores and collecting pets; the rat is definitely my favourite (I named my rat pet Speedy). But that being said, Tiny Witch is pretty challenging. You need to be on your game and fast; there is no relaxing in the minion business! So, if you also love stressful, fun games, you should pick up Tiny Witch for yourself

Liked-a-lot - Midnight Girl
Oct 5, 2023

I love Midnight Girl. I love point-and-click adventures, and this scratches the itch I’ve had for a good one since I finished up Lucy Dreaming a whole year ago. It’s fun, it’s beautiful, it’s smooth and polished, and the music is good. I cannot recommend this game enough. It’s great fun with a whole lot of personality in it!

I really like these games, and Hidden Cats of Spooky Town especially. The art is lovely, the game is relaxing, the music is nice. It’s overall a pretty clean experience. I only had one small issue while playing: some of the Hidden Kittens on moving objects have kind of small hitboxes, making them hard to click on as they ride away in a balloon or car or whatever. I think that just a tiny bit more wiggle room in those particular hitboxes would make a massive difference in how good this game feels to play. To be honest, that was the only issue I had with Hidden Cats of Spooky Town. I love this little game, and I look forward to whatever beautiful artwork comes next from these very talented artists.

Liked-a-lot - Snakebird Complete
Nov 28, 2023

Based on many other reviews of Snakebird Complete, I think it might just be me. But just because Snakebird didn’t pull me in doesn’t mean that I can’t recognize how polished, aesthetic, and without bugs it was. If you like goofy puzzle games, Snakebird might just be the perfect little snake-like for you.

Suika Game is a cheap, fun, addictive little game with some of the most adorable faces ever before seen on fruit. It’s soothing to play, fun for the whole family, and a wonderful addition to any Nintendo Switch library. If you are looking for a goofy, last-minute gift or something to do with a Switch gift card, Suika Game is the best US $3 you can spend.

Liked-a-lot - Shape of Clouds
Jan 13, 2024

Overall, I enjoyed my time with Shape of Clouds. It could have done more, but it was an extremely peaceful, original, and fun little puzzle game. I like the feeling of watching all the pixels start to line up and trying to guess what they might look like when they come together. The kids and I really had a good time in spite of the music and the sound design and the little bugs here and there. Overall, Shape of Clouds is some amazing freeware that’s great for the whole family.

Liked-a-lot - Dead end Exit 8
Feb 12, 2024

Dead end Exit 8 is a beautiful, polished attempt at a find-the-difference horror game. It’s atmospheric and creepy and combines two of my favourite genres of modern horror games: find-the-difference and liminal, repeating space horrors. That being said, it’s far too short; it needs a lot more levels and more difficulty in some of those levels. There’s nothing wrong with the starting level being easy to ease you into it, but when it’s the only level of the game, that’s a big disappointment. Overall, I am really looking forward to more from this amazing indie.

Plantabi: Little Garden is super fun, cozy, cute, and gives you a lot of freedom. I like the plants, I like the Cookie Clicker aspects of it, and the music is fabulous. If the tutorial were a little bit more robust, I would absolutely adore this plant-centric title.
