After the success of Lego Brawls on the Apple Arcade subscription service, porting it for all major consoles and PC seemed like the next logical step. However, after I played with the game for a while and found out its pricing, I couldn't root for it anymore. Even though there are wonderful plasticky ideas and I almost laughed my bricky bottom off while playing with my partner, it still plays like a mobile game priced as a AAA title.

Lego Bricktales is the type of game that completely fills you with nostalgic joy. Every time you go into the building mode it feels like opening a new lego set you just bought. Every time you jumble around the world it feels like playing with all your Legos in you tiny kids' bedroom. This game made me think hard about the physics-based Lego construction work I had to do and motivated me to think outside of the 'blocks'. It's fun, addicting, full of great humor and despite minor issues I had with the game, I must recommend this to every Lego fan.

Nate is the Demon of Bad Taste and as it is 'one of the most horrific deadly sins' (for like two people in the world), he is summoned by the very Satan, to collect all the necessary ingredients for his birthday pie. Hence the confusingly hilarious name that perfectly summarizes the plot of Hell Pie. This disgustingly wonderful 3D platforming adventure will not only make you search unique worlds to complete Devils shopping list, but it will most definitely make you gag too, laugh out loud quite a lot, and also offer a hellish kind of challenge.

Squanch Games created by Justin Roiland presents us with a new, beautifully absurd sci-fi adventure, filled with his signature humor choices (just look at the game premise and its name), goofy characters, and extremely inventive game design. If you love the likes of Rick and Morty you'll surely love the direction this offensively brilliant game goes. Sure, there are some performance issues and sometimes you wonder if this is just an average shooter but then you realize you're playing a game with TALKING GUNS!!!

It seems like Do Not Open had set up itself for a failure with just its name alone' After a quick glance you might expect an exciting escape room VR experience, which is unfortunately not true. This horror-less, VR-less, empty shell of a rushed game is extremely short, lacks any polish and painfully bores me to my core. At the current stage, not opening it is the only viable option!

Have you ever wondered, what would've happened, if you gave a multiverse unlocking tool to an infantile sponge? Well, even though SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake doesn't really reinvent the basic formula of its predecessor, it at least aims to answer that very question! This vibrantly colourful collection of teleportation-requiring adventures of the inseparable duo surely brings back a ton of memories. Get ready, because SpongeBob, Patrick, and the Bikini Bottom gang are back with a multiuniversal bang and a whole bunch of wishing bubbles!

Even after decades of research, handful of deep space probes and a bunch of scientific rovers, humanity is still fascinated with Mars. Immersive experience of Deliver Us Mars satisfies this very fascination by serving its junky gameplay and ridiculous animations on a way too ambitious plate, while a wonderfully grand, Interstellar like music coats the imperfectly glitchy background. This results in a seemingly spectacular story with enormous set pieces, which lacks the necessary polish, mostly due to obvious budget limitations.

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia aspired to create a compelling satire on unending cycle of nostalgia, but during its development the devs got somehow tangled in the restraining string of its own narrator. This somehow unique love letter to Dark Souls is not only sprinkled with various nostalgic gags from popculture, but filled with endless references, humor, and lack of original ideas' Bugs, glitches and more than a decade of idealization created this soulslike mess which has its moments, but somehow misses the very point it's trying to make.

Tinykins as the name suggests, are not only the tiniest, but also the cutest of useful helpers who will assist the scientist Milodane on his wholesome journey across this typical, insects infested human household. This staple of relaxing game marries addictive gameplay and creative game mechanics with adorable visuals and peaceful soundtrack. This must play hidden gem draws a lot of inspiration from the infamous Pikmin series, but it does this just as gracefully as Milo slides across the many rooms on his dope soapsurf.

Ravenbound strives to conquer the gaming skies, but its ambitiously fragile bones break underneath the weight of its own unpolished body. The world is an empty shell which desperately needs the mighty soul of some open world God, that will solve repetitive gameplay, technical issues and fill this husk of a world with some actual content, rather than just endless fighting. Darkest Dungeon 2 is truly a 'streamlined, unnecessary genres dropping and infinitely expanding' evolution of its predecessor. This beautiful work of harmoniously coexisting design and mechanics reminds me of an enormous roguelike jug filled to the brim with horrifyingly hardcore gameplay, many difficult choices, huge 50+ hours long campaign and a whole bunch of Lovecraftian horror! Oh and there are cute pets riding on your stagecoach too.

This 4v4 title with matches under 5 minutes is a blast for a quick evening couch session. On the other hand, the lack of any meaningful content, variety of modes, players and other makes it harder to come back to. Expansion Aurora Shores for hunting simulator Way of the Hunter is an honest and faithful love letter to Alaska's wildlife. New map, animal species, bunch of quality-of-life improvements and of course the new CROSBOWS improve and build upon the well-established formula of the last year's title. Take out your trusty armored umbrellas because the forecast is cloudy with the chance of...dinosaurs?! To elaborate, this is a short abstract of the absurdly sounding Exoprimal. A multiplayer PvE/PvP title with not only handful of innovative game design instances and captivating story that requires activation of the gray brain matter, but also thousands of angry reptiles, who are more than ready to eat off your limbs and head. With time traveling, mischievous AI and many real-world parallels, this is truly a blast from the past! (pun intended)
