4 / 10.0 - Do Not Open
Jan 20, 2023

It seems like Do Not Open had set up itself for a failure with just its name alone' After a quick glance you might expect an exciting escape room VR experience, which is unfortunately not true. This horror-less, VR-less, empty shell of a rushed game is extremely short, lacks any polish and painfully bores me to my core. At the current stage, not opening it is the only viable option!

5 / 10.0 - LEGO Brawls
Sep 30, 2022

After the success of Lego Brawls on the Apple Arcade subscription service, porting it for all major consoles and PC seemed like the next logical step. However, after I played with the game for a while and found out its pricing, I couldn't root for it anymore. Even though there are wonderful plasticky ideas and I almost laughed my bricky bottom off while playing with my partner, it still plays like a mobile game priced as a AAA title.

5.5 / 10.0 - Enclave HD
Aug 14, 2023

In the long-forgotten year 2002, a well put together fantasy adventure Enclave introduced a few inspiring ideas and received a general appraise. The HD port for modern consoles is desperately trying to reignite this flame of the past in the new generation of gamers, but hopelessly fails to impress due to the lack of any meaningful improvements to the original game'

5.5 / 10.0 - Ravenbound
Apr 4, 2023

Ravenbound strives to conquer the gaming skies, but its ambitiously fragile bones break underneath the weight of its own unpolished body. The world is an empty shell which desperately needs the mighty soul of some open world God, that will solve repetitive gameplay, technical issues and fill this husk of a world with some actual content, rather than just endless fighting. Neat ideas are here, and the intriguing genre mixing provides a well-deserved breath of fresh air, that unfortunately gets quickly spoiled by frustrating shortcomings'

5.5 / 10.0 - Blackwind
Apr 21, 2022

Have you ever wondered, how playable would be a mixture of James Cameron's story from Avatar and God of War's hack & slash mechanics? Because Blackwind offers you just this experience, wrapped in a janky camera, poor voice acting and borderline boring gameplay. Oh, and there are cool mech suits too'

The first souls-borne child, who seized to become a From Software successor is returning after nine long winters. This new Lampbearer presents a well-established, and captivating setting, filled with a set of well-known features, that any true soulslike fan will love and hate equally. Duality of the game's worlds provides unique aesthetics and puzzle-like mechanics; however, its potential is never reached and noticeable imperfections are ever so noticeable. Developers deliberately sabotage players and frustrate genre fans, who've simply hoped for more'

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia aspired to create a compelling satire on unending cycle of nostalgia, but during its development the devs got somehow tangled in the restraining string of its own narrator. This somehow unique love letter to Dark Souls is not only sprinkled with various nostalgic gags from popculture, but filled with endless references, humor, and lack of original ideas' Bugs, glitches and more than a decade of idealization created this soulslike mess which has its moments, but somehow misses the very point it's trying to make.

6 / 10.0 - Undungeon
Mar 9, 2022

Undungeon is a visually breath-taking game that unfortunately suffers from lack of actual game content in favour of overcomplicated world building. The combat is clunky, there is way too much text to read and thanks to ridiculous damage scaling mechanic the difficulty is nerve racking. And that's a shame, because developers created a intimidating, sci-fi wasteland world, sprinkled with rich lore.

6.5 / 10.0 - Crash Team Rumble
Jul 10, 2023

This 4v4 title with matches under 5 minutes is a blast for a quick evening couch session. On the other hand, the lack of any meaningful content, variety of modes, players and other makes it harder to come back to. But with reasonably spaced-out updates and seasons filed with content, this might just be a major multiplayer glow up!

6.5 / 10.0 - Deliver Us Mars
Feb 24, 2023

Even after decades of research, handful of deep space probes and a bunch of scientific rovers, humanity is still fascinated with Mars. Immersive experience of Deliver Us Mars satisfies this very fascination by serving its junky gameplay and ridiculous animations on a way too ambitious plate, while a wonderfully grand, Interstellar like music coats the imperfectly glitchy background. This results in a seemingly spectacular story with enormous set pieces, which lacks the necessary polish, mostly due to obvious budget limitations.

Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach is the newest addition to the fans' favourite indie survival horror series and although it expands its ideas into 3D space marvellously, due to its performance issues it delivers an undercooked pizza experience.

6.5 / 10.0 - Seed of Life
Nov 18, 2021

3D platformer, set in a 4-hour long sci-fi/medieval universe, will offer a whole lot of frustrating puzzles, bunch of bugs, colorful and crisp graphics, but most of all an enjoyable, nonrepetitive experience.

Purely block-based Minecraft world returns, but with a truly unexpected, sometimes tiny bit shallow, RTS twist. This tactical adventure is bright, saturated, full of fresh ideas and with its PVP/co-op content, crafted especially for you and your fellow builders. It's time to grab your gaming tools, gather the resources and mount your favourite animal, because this minecart joyride is supposedly only the beginning!

7 / 10.0 - High on Life
Dec 23, 2022

Squanch Games created by Justin Roiland presents us with a new, beautifully absurd sci-fi adventure, filled with his signature humor choices (just look at the game premise and its name), goofy characters, and extremely inventive game design. If you love the likes of Rick and Morty you'll surely love the direction this offensively brilliant game goes. Sure, there are some performance issues and sometimes you wonder if this is just an average shooter but then you realize you're playing a game with TALKING GUNS!!!

25th anniversary of Klonoa brings the long-lost series back to our cozy game libraries and gives us chance to defeat nightmares of Phantomile and Lunatea once more. Klonoa and his friends look in 4K and 60FPS more beautiful than ever and the remastered textures, sounds and this 2,5D experience will bring nostalgic tears to your eyes. However, 25 years of technological advance has shown its toll on the game and sometimes you will have to push through some not very pleasant moments.

7.5 / 10.0 - Thymesia
Sep 26, 2022

Plague infested Thymesia is a moody soulslike title, filled with only the most aggressive of moves and relentlessly badass playstyle. If you master the quick pace of sword slashes, parries, claw attacks and dodge without panic in your fingers, you won't be able to take a break from the satisfaction every successful duel gives you. 7.5 / 10.0 - Salt and Sacrifice
Jun 21, 2022

Being sequel to a critically acclaimed title is always a hardcore task. Salt and Sacrifice didn't exceed the expectations, nor did it fail. It captures the essence of soulslike genre with hand drawn graphics exceptionally well but suffers due to a whole bunch of required backtracking and some questionable developer decisions.
