Having missed this title the first time around, there was no small amount of glee at the prospect of jumping in with the gussied up version. It is with profound sadness that it must be reported that this is a barebones port of an already middling game.
While Back To Bed is not a terrible puzzler by any stretch of the imagination, it is terribly underwhelming. There is simply so much more that could have been done to really make this a gem.
Earlier in this review, I mentioned Ramba Ral and his suit, the Gouf. If you understood the reference, then SD Gundam Battle Alliance was made for you.
With a short run time, South of the Circle isn't meant to be for someone looking to stretch their gaming dollar.
Gal Gun Returns isn't a bad game.
No one can argue that G.
For such a short game with so many issues, it seems crazy to recommend No Straight Roads. The story is overly drawn out, almost feeling like it was intended for a longer game, the levels are to be endured and the underlying systems meant to bring depth are just kind of there, staring at you, begging you to yell "Freebird" so it can go on a long tirade about jerks in the audience.
When all of the parts are added together, it becomes apparent that Rogue Trooper Redux doesn't quite meet the standards of modern day gaming.
With a patch to clean up the technical issues, The Bard's Tale: Remastered and Resnarkled would be an incredible value.
While what should be the biggest draw — the crossover and the story — falls flat on its face, Accel World vs Sword Art Online isn't a complete loss.
Despite all of these complaints, Has-Been Heroes isn’t a terrible time.
Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey is a title that engenders quite a bit of well-deserved criticism.
If Super Pixel Smash was one part of a larger collection of mini-games, it would be a standout.
Despite all of the complaints, there is some inherit value to Dragon Ball Fusions.
Valkyrie Drive- Bhikkhuni is a one of those titles that takes awhile to get going, something that many folks will not be able to tolerate.
Much of the time in this review was spent bagging on Anima: Gate of Memories’ many, many (many) flaws.
The most frustrating thing about Rogue Stormers is that it is a few major flaws from being the perfect game.
Guns Up! isn't terrible. In fact, were it not for the technical issues, checking it out would be a no-brainer.
Overall, Rubble Without A Cause is a disappointment. The first chapter was great, but the tonal shift and structure found here just doesn't hit the right notes. Continuing Graham's story is still a worthwhile use of time, but one can't help but feel a tad… let down. In the end, the series has not soured, though. The closing scene sets up future events that should be intriguing. It just tripped on the rubble.
While one wants to be honest when reviewing a title, it feels a tad mean-spirited tearing into There Was A Caveman. So much love and care went into crafting this title and it shows.
