4.2 / 5.0 - LEGO Bricktales VR
Dec 11, 2023

LEGO Bricktales VR is an exciting sandbox game. It is not a lengthy game and can be completed in a single afternoon, provided someone has that amount of free time. It is a great introduction to the toys for those unfamiliar with the Lego brand or who’ve never used them. It feels like a softer introduction than something that uses an IP like something from J.R.R. Tolkien’s or George Lucas’s minds.

Journey To Foundation is an interesting ride through an alternate future of the galaxy. The story is large in scope, and every Chapter takes a fair amount of time to complete. No level goes by quickly, even with movement set to teleport. It would admittedly be a little boring if the levels go by too quickly. As the chapters in Journey Foundation are about an hour each, you’ll want to invest in a backup power supply if you want to play in one go. It is a great game with an immersive story, but you’ll want to give yourself a break occasionally. It is definitely worth a shot if you’re a fan of arcade shooters and VR shooters in general.

4.2 / 5.0 - Hellsweeper VR
Sep 27, 2023

Hellsweeper VR is great for those already versed in virtual reality. There’s plenty to do, and there is never a shortage of demons to slice and shoot through. The ability to look at past runs and their scores gives players an incentive to pick up the controls and get back to Hellsweeper VR once more. With the addition of a co-op, players will be able to double the carnage and team up with friends to sweep through the underworld.

4.2 / 5.0 - Call of the Sea
May 1, 2023

Despite the linear path developers went with, it does not take away from the sense of adventure within the game. It truly feels like a considerable amount of thought went into both the audio and visual aspects of the story. Some of the puzzles can be frustrating at times, but when they’re solved, it is extremely satisfying. If you’re looking for a new game completely with adventure, mystery, and crazy twists and turns, do yourself a favor and check out Call of The Sea VR.

4.2 / 5.0 - Super Bullet Break
Aug 15, 2022

Super Bullet Break pits you as Akari, a young woman against an evil AI. Your saved game files are in danger of deletion. Will you be able to stop the Singulaladies from overwriting your files with their own? I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a frustrating ride. If you’ve something of a short fuse, it’d be best to avoid increasing your blood pressure with Super Bullet Break. If you’re really into uphill battles, this is certainly one that poses a challenge to anyone hard-headed enough to accept it.

4.3 / 5.0 - Metal Mutation
May 19, 2023

Metal Mutation is a great roguelite that does not feel too hard or too easy. Enemies come in a variety of sizes, and the bosses are as interesting as the abilities one can wield. It’s not hard to get lost in all the action going on at once. Basic attacks are made even better when the same ability is enhanced repeatedly. I recommend this title for anyone who wants actions from beginning to end when entering any level containing enemies.

4.4 / 5.0 - Dave the Diver
Jan 7, 2024

DAVE THE DIVER is a fun dive into a mysterious ocean locale. The game really comes to life on the Nintendo Switch. While some might wish there was just a bit more, it has more than enough content to keep a person busy for a good long while. You can get completely lost simply exploring the ocean without doing any hunting, provided supplies for Bancho’s Sushi are stocked up.

Crimen – Mercenary Tales was an interesting form of VR combat. It wasn’t hard to understand what was necessary at the moment. Blocking and striking weren’t always responsive and that might be a result of the light in the room. With that being the biggest issue, it was an otherwise fantastic adventure experience. At $14.99, it certainly delivers on the things it promises.

Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate delivers a VR experience in a way that every new player hopes a game might. There’s nothing like walking through what’s essentially a dream world and talking to others. While VR controls in general are still being worked on, this title does well to make use of everything possible.
