FixFox respects your time, offering a wholesome adventure filled with puzzles, quirky characters, and a laid back journey through space.
Made by a single developer, an industry rookie, FixFox really brings a good amount of ideas to the table. The main mechanics are quite simple, designed to be relaxing and reassuring. The outline, however, stands out for brilliant ideas and insights, which contribute to the creation of an intriguing context. Not everything is perfect, some aspect for example are a bit generic (music, especially) and some other may appear unclear at first glance. Its slow and somewhat repetitive pace might also bore more action-oriented players.

FixFox is a delightful title that manages to be a comfortable experience despite the at-times heavy themes. The self-fulfilling loop of repairing machines is the highlight, and it’s what you’ll be doing most, outside simple puzzles. Occasional unclear objectives, however, drag the experience down during specific moments. But once you get past FixFox’s quirks, it confidently takes you through a gentle, emotional ride.
If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, the road to a boring video game is lined with safe design choices, and that really is FixFox’s problem.
FixFox is a top-down, story-based, point-and-click adventure. This cute little indie game was developed by Rendlike, published by Joystick Ventures, and is out now for PC and Mac. It is an extremely charming indie game with a great story. It’s a great game for all ages and with the ease of access throughout, everyone including your pets could sit down and play through the game for hours.
Whatever FixFox may lack in size of its budget compared to what we consider a mainstream open world title, it has ten times that in charm and heart.

For a game created by just three people, Fixfox really does sparkle in so many ways. The pixel graphics are warm and beautiful, and the western themed soundtrack really captures the essence of the wholesome adventure. The story is a wonderfully written tale but the open world also has enough character for those who just want to take a look around. If you’re looking for an experience that’s comparable to drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies, this is it.
We are facing a great adventure. A human hybridized with fox DNA, a ñapas who is sent to fix a beacon, and who ends up becoming a full-fledged space adventure. FixFox is packed with narrative and gameplay moments, exploration, puzzles, and eating delicious local cuisine, as we unravel a story that has a lot to tell, and does so in a fantastic way.
