Soundfall Reviews
As a fan of both multiplayer twin-stick shooters and rhythm games, a title that tries to find the sweet spot where the two intersect is, in principle, a great idea...
I like Soundfall and feel it is worth the $30 price tag on the Switch. For a game that includes a series of around ten stages with ten levels each, there is a lot of content to devour. The game is pretty long, but I can play a level or two within a few minutes since most of the songs aren’t longer than four minutes. You should play this game if you like rhythm games, RPGs, and games where everything fits nicely and snugly into each other.
Soundfall is one of the most pleasant surprises I've had with games. Despite suffering from low variety of enemies and repetitive level design, the game very competently encompasses the dungeon crawler structure with rhythmic combat. In addition, the songs are of an impressive quality, matching perfectly with the environment in which it was designed.

Soundfall is a wonderful game to listen to, even if the combat and metronome mechanic can be frustrating to work with. Soaring through a level because you've found the rhythm is a uniquely cool feeling, but the rest of the gameplay fails to do it justice. While Soundfall was designed around the music and metronome, it feels like a little more complexity would help this game take flight.
