Critic Reviews for Two Point Campus: Space Academy
Impressive efforts with a few noticeable problems holding them back. Won't astound everyone, but is worth your time and cash.
Two Point Campus: Space Academy introduces a new degree of fun to its base game. The three added levels are the perfect combination of challenging, enjoyable, and unique, while additional courses add new spins on core mechanics. Ultimately, if you're a fan of Two Point Campus, this DLC can't be missed and will bring you back to the hours spent building a working university - only this time on an asteroid made out of cheese.
Two Point Campus: Space Academy is more of what you love the game with a sci-fi twist. The three new maps and six courses each present something new and unique with something to enjoy for players of all skill levels. While it's not ideal for newcomers, this excellent management sim just keeps getting better.
Space Academy is a frivolous and cheeky new addition to the Two Point Campus experience. If you love management sims and want something a bit more out there than dinosaurs and school yards then this is a DLC for you
Two Point Campus is a good game, only made better through the Space Academy DLC, a substantial addition. Space is generally pretty serious, but the folks at Two Point Studios infused their wackiness into it that elevates it to new heights. The new levels here make it feel like this is a different game at times, offering a degree of cohesion not seen in the game before now. Two Point Campus: Space Academy is out of this world good, an essential add-on for all would-be school administrators who “keep their eyes on the stars, but their feet on the ground.”
Two Point Campus: Space Academy is an expansion that matches what was proposed in the base game. The space theme fits very well into the game, mainly because it maintains the visual quality, the creativity of the courses and keeps the management challenge well balanced even with the different spaces for building and expanding your university. However, it's possible that the content isn't impactful enough to appeal to the more casual Two Point Campus players. The base game already has a sufficient amount of content to satisfy the less demanding and the DLC, despite the quality, does not present itself as a relevant element to justify its purchase.
