Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition Reviews
The game's end hints at sequel potential, and while I wasn't overly impressed with Shieldmaiden, I might be interested in a second quest, assuming the developers address the many platforming issues that plague this game.
In the end, Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition is hard to classify. The game definitely isn't bad, the graphics are good and charming, the soundtrack is outstanding, the story is captivating and the gameplay has many interesting concepts. The fact the game is short, however, seems to hinder it. The final product is good but with more stages and making better use of the possibilities offered by the mechanics, it could have been a lot better.

Though it has some very specific issues, Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition adds a quality short adventure to Switch's library, with a big highlight to it being a 100% Brazilian product. With interesting mechanics, big inspiration on classic 16-bit platformers and irreproachable audiovisual presentation, this one is a good choice for indie titles enthusiasts.
