Critic Reviews for Patch Quest
Patch Quest is a novel dungeon crawling rogue-lite that has unique ideas which set it apart from some of the most noteworthy in the genre. However, it quickly becomes repetitive, with a huge, sprawling dungeon full of discoveries to be made that leave little impact on the world back home, turning it into an adventure that soon becomes aimless and disjointed.
Patch Quest is an enjoyable roguelike that is both adorable and tough, featuring a wide range of creatures to capture and fight.
Despite a repetitiveness that, sooner or later, tends to appear, Patch Quest knows perfectly how to exploit its many ideas and combinations to lasso those who love to experiment and explore and, once the flame of curiosity has been fueled, drag him into a gameplay loop from which can be difficult to get out of.

Patch Quest manages to be very competent both as a roguelike and bullet hell, but compromises some of the qualities that both genres have.
Patch Quest is a game full of exploration and a huge variety of creatures and plants to collect. Just because it looks cute doesn't mean it is easy, like other twin-stick shooters you will find yourself in bullet hell a lot!
Patch Quest is an indie shooter with a monster-taming system that creates a nonviolent, endearing experience for players of all ages.
Adding to the shooting element reminds the 'Enter the Gungeon', Patch Quest showcases a different, fresh action adventure each time you capture new monsters. While the game doe not support system guide and lack in rogue-lite elements, its quality as a top-down shooter is quite sturdy.

It’s impressive — especially for a game developed by a single person — how many disparate genres and how many distinct gameplay loops Patch Quest manages to juggle, without letting a single one fall. It may be a Pokémon, Castlevania, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon smoothie, but it’s a smoothie that I plan on ordering time and time again.
