Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Reviews
A great game held back by some tired tropes.
People always say that there is no such thing a perfect score, but Uncharted 4 deserves nothing short of a full 10/10. The game is completely flawless. There are always going to be opinions that vary, but when it comes down to faulting Uncharted 4, there is nothing you can say. So much care and attention has been put into making this game absolutely perfect. It is very clear to see that not a single corner has been cut with the development of this game. The standard of quality is incredibly high and consistent from start to finish. I have never given a game a 10/10 before and I am generally quite the nit picker when it comes to game reviews, but i don't think i can pick out a single thing to fault about Uncharted 4. The game is just perfect.
Uncharted 4 is a fantastic game, and is an absolute must play, especially if you’ve played previous games in the franchise. The pacing does go through a slow point heading into the third act but the overall story, the character performances and one of the most fulfilling closing chapters iv’e experienced in a game made this an experience I want to play through again multiple times.
Uncharted 4 is a game that does what it does and does it perfectly. It will make you marvel with its beautiful vistas and interiors. Captivate you with its story. Thrill you with its gameplay and leaving you wanting for more.
The puzzles in Uncharted 4 are far less challenging than some of the other entries in the franchise, and I had far less trouble solving them. And last but not least your companions AI can "clutch out" at times and start acting severely retarded by not shooting at enemies or just running around and getting in your way while you are trying to take cover from enemies firing on you. These hardly detract from what I can consider the best Playstation 4 title and video game I have played to date and right next to The Last of Us. And when it is all said and done, Uncharted 4 delivers the fan service franchise fans will absolutely love and enjoy. And in the process giving us one of the best send-offs we could have ever asked for Nathan Drake and his crew.
Uncharted 4 delivers a memorable experience through excellent storytelling, character development, and refreshing gameplay. If you're apprehensive about the series ending, I still strongly encourage you to do so.
The story, gameplay, and presentation are all top notch and make Uncharted 4 a remarkable achievement in gaming.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a fitting finale for the hero that's been knocking around with the PlayStation brand for almost a decade. There's highs and lows, and while it's not a perfect game, it does a helluva lot more right than it does wrong. The story is so-so but that's what we kinda expected. What really shines are the characters, the locales and the gameplay. Four out of five ain't bad. If you've a passing interest in story-driven shooters, give this one a go and then do it again to try out the different playstyles/collect the trophies. It's been worth the wait.
With amazing production values, characters I cared about, an entertaining story and plenty to see and do along the way, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End may not be the best game in the series overall, but it is a fitting conclusion that shows Naughty Dog continues to deliver the goods with their games.
All in all, this is a game that is remarkable for its maturity. All the eye candy is there — remarkable visuals, realistic scenes, eye-popping landscapes, and the trademark outrageous action. Individually, all these elements are no longer surprising in this age of high technology — in fact, everything here has already been seen in other media. But it is the way that they are brought together to form a cohesive whole that gets critics all nodding with pleasure.
Naughty Dog continues to improve upon their winning formula, which leaves me overly excited for what comes next.
Uncharted 4 is the best game on PS4 right now and the first game that you can claim is a system seller on either PS4 or Xbox One. It might not be the best game in the series but it is definitely one of the best games that you could play this year and it will probably one of the best on this console generation.
Uncharted 4 is a game that everyone should play.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End truly feels like a living breathing, beast of a game that players of all ages will enjoy.
Uncharted 4 is a great game with minor flaws that hold it back from reaching Naughty Dog's previous heights, but don't let these minor gripes stop you from experiencing a wonderful game.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a fitting way to end a decade long story beloved by fans across the world.
If you're a fan of action adventures, you owe it to yourself to at least borrow a copy of Uncharted 4 and experience it first-hand. An epic journey like none other, fuelled by an atmosphere from action movies of olden times, cheesy at moments, but with more than enough charisma to stay with you long after you complete it.
Everything is done flawlessly. A high quality plot, impressive graphics and fun mechanics.
Overall I am impressed with Naughty Dog's final entry to the franchise, the graphics are outstanding for a console game and the action sequences don't get in the way of you playing the game. The photo mode can be improved but the basic options are in the game which is fine for a console exclusive. The storyline is very well portrayed along with an outstanding narrative that nobody can forget.
Uncharted 4 finishes off the story of Nathan Drake in style. It's one of the best-looking games on PlayStation 4, the environments are huge, and the action set pieces are great. The pacing falters in the middle due to new vehicle sections, but once Uncharted 4 gets going, it's a great ride.
