Scene Investigators
Critic Reviews for Scene Investigators
Strong writing and design makes Scene Investigators well worth playing, even if some of the logic and questions don’t pass the smell test.
Scene Investigators demands the attention of a real investigator, with the determination and knowledge to crack cases open. For the patient and studious, you'll be greatly rewarded for your efforts.
Scene Investigators falls short of its potential to offer a truly engaging detective experience. The 70/30 principle, while promising in theory, tips the scale too far towards uncertainty, making the game feel less like a deductive challenge and more like an exercise in wild conjecture. Despite its immersive murder mystery setting, the game’s execution leaves much to be desired, resulting in a frustrating and unsatisfying experience for those who seek logical, well-structured puzzles.
Scene Investigators has four well-written cases to solve which are perfect for detective game fans. Unfortunately, its gameplay is in need of some tweaks for a satisfying experience.
Scene Investigators will be a real pleasure for those who like to break their heads. The lack of finish and answers at the end of an investigation may put some off. Some of the questions in the investigations seem to have been put in to make certain cases unnecessarily complex. Investigators is unfortunately very short, with only 9 scenes to solve. Despite this, the developers' attention to the smallest details will delight the most discerning sleuths. We have an excellent time exploring and deducing the circumstances of the tragedies, but I can't help feeling that something is missing.
