#BLUD Reviews
Visually,Blud# is one of the most beautiful games I have seen . The design of the world, the characters, and the animation are great things that raised the level of the experience , and this was accompanied by an excellent writing that presented interesting ideas that kept me interested in the story and dialogues until the end, but this is a video game, and the gameplay aspects are the things that make an enjoyable game, and unfortunately, these aspects are the least here. The gameplay design is dull, the combat lacks depth, and for the level design , although there are some good moments such as bosses, overall it was disappointing and did not live up to the level of the visual aspects of the game. As a result of these flaws, we got an average game that had the potential to be a distinctive experience.

#BLUD is a really cool experience with an awesome Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe, but the lacking combat can hold it back a little. It’s not that anything is bad at all, but rather that it could feel a little bit fiddly thanks to some awkward hitboxes and repetitive actions. It’s a shame too because there are some interesting ideas that are introduced to combat as you progress and face tougher foes, but it doesn’t always pay-off. Despite this, I still enjoyed my time with the game, with the world and dungeon design proving exceptional throughout and the storytelling keeping me fully invested in Becky’s wacky plight. And the cartoon-like visuals? I loved them. It just maybe needed a bit more work to fine-tune some of its flaws, but hey, it’s nothing a patch or two won’t fix.
It has some amazing visuals, great animation, a whole host of charming characters, and some inventive combat mechanics that come together in a final package that I’d certainly recommend to just about anyone.
You hear it a lot with games that feature hand-drawn animation. "It feels like playing a cartoon." But with its roots in an era I was so closely tied to and loved, #BLUD is probably the best example of that I've ever seen. It may not be perfect, but it's the kind of game I always wanted those classic tie-in games to be and never got — and that fulfillment of a lifelong dream is worth experiencing for anyone who grew up in the '90s.
While #BLUD does have some rough edges, this is a fun little adventure that’s worth looking into if you think you’d click with its tone.
#BLUD is one that can’t be missed. For any cartoon fans, there’s so much to love here.
#BLUD is a gorgeous hand-drawn dungeon-crawler with some excellent animation work, fun characters, and sharp humor. The Vampire-infested streets of Carpentersville are a joy to explore and cleanse, even if the combat isn’t always consistent.
BLUD is a game that knows what it wants to be and fully embraces its quirky, nostalgic identity. It’s clear the developers have a genuine passion and fondness for the fun of its inspiration material. And that fun comes through in the final product. Its art style and thematic elements will strongly resonate with those who fondly remember the era it draws from. However, the slow start, frustrating combat, and sometimes tedious social media aspects can detract from the overall enjoyment. If you’re drawn to the cartoon nostalgia and don’t mind a heavy dose of schoolyard drama mixed with your monster slaying, #BLUD might just be worth your time. For those less enchanted by its stylistic choices, there may not be a lot to keep you coming back.
#Blud is a damned funny title with a great art style. While the combat and puzzles could leave me feeling a bit burnt out at times it’s still an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a beautiful, funny dungeon crawler.
