With only ten levels you'd think Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey was over far too soon, but it was quite the opposite; I couldn't wait for this yoga-like Hell to be over. Knowing the game was made by only two people makes me feel a bit like a yogasshole by saying this game is yogawful, but this is one cherry pit I couldn't wait to spit out.

Despite its charm, Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey is too flawed to recommend to adults and kids alike.

Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey is a barmy title built around one imaginitive mechanic. Using the PlayStation Camera to bring yourself into the action is a neat novelty, but it does have a shelf-life. It's also not for those that are opposed to moving more than their thumbs. Still, if you're looking for something a little out-there, then this is an interesting option – and the fact that it offers an excuse to actually use the PS4's underutilised camera is just the cherry on the top.

While combining the innovative nature of the Kinect with the use of a controller is a noble goal that more developers should strive for, Commander Cherry's Puzzle Quest is an unmitigated disaster that takes the worst parts of Kinect games and platforming and mashes them together. If the terrible Kinect scanning doesn't get you, the horrible platforming controls will. While some may find fun in the challenge, the game should be passed on by all but the most ardent of Kinect fans.

Commander Cherry is a niche title and one that most likely won't get a lot of love simply because people will judge it for the art design alone, yet it has some limited but fun moments. I can't stress enough how important your living room set up is needed for the camera to register players though, otherwise the game simple can't be played. Otherwise if you looking for something a bit different and unique that gets you off the couch and laughing with your friends, Commander Cherry might just be for you.

Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey is an ideal adventure for those who have an insane sense of humour and are looking for a game that throws all conventions out the window in favour of providing a good time.
