Aarik and The Ruined Kingdom is a well crafted and great looking puzzle game that entertains for its 2-3 hour playtime. It is let down by various bugs, like sounds playing unprompted, and the issue of placing objects being more cumbersome than it needs to be. However, for less than £7 it is worth a playthrough if you enjoy perspective shifting puzzle games.

Aarik and the Ruined Kingdom shines as a captivating isometric adventure, seamlessly combining exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat within a visually striking world. While its story and camera mechanics could use some polishing, the game’s breathtaking presentation and rich atmosphere make it a must-have for fans of the puzzle-adventure genre.

Aarik and the Ruined Kingdom is fun, challenging, and unique in the genre. I really liked the puzzles; some of them were incredibly difficult. Without being esoteric or so out there, I would never have gotten them. I enjoyed that main aspect of this game, and I’m so happy I got to play it. On the other hand, Aarik and the Ruined Kingdom has many issues. I hope that the team contacts me with a message about how to complete that final achievement. Also, I hope that’s not the true ending because I would be so sad if it were.
