IronFall Invasion never needed to leave the 3DS. It was bad enough there thanks to its totally worthless storytelling and generic, bland gameplay. With the Switch it doesn’t even have the distinction of being one of the more technically impressive tech demos on the console. It truly has nothing going for it.
I hope that this game finds its audience – perhaps not at the current full price, admittedly – but nonetheless, there’s a little bit of magic here that will be quite a trip down memory lane for a lot of folks.
Ironfall Invasion on Nintendo Switch is a title that manages to capture the charm of the past with updated graphics and modern controls. While not without its flaws, it remains an enjoyable experience for fans of arcade shooters and those looking for a lighthearted alternative to Gears of War.
