Critic Reviews for Klaus Lee - Thunderballs
Klaus Lee – Thunderballs is an engaging homage to the TV and gaming action heroes of the '80s. It's not the deepest or most diverse platformer you'll play on the Switch, but its 100+ levels and built-in level designer provide plenty of staying power.
Klaus Lee – Thunderballs is a love letter to an era of gaming when skill and patience were the only ways forward, but it's delivered with a modern, smartly designed touch. It's tough, sometimes unfairly so, but it's also addictive, well-paced, and endlessly replayable thanks to its level creation tools. Whether you're blasting through the main campaign or diving into player-made deathtraps, the core mechanics remain solid, the humor stays sharp, and the satisfaction of threading the needle with your jetpack never gets old.
There's a lot of content in Klaus Lee - Thunderballs and its gameplay is solid and varied for sure so check it out if you want a challenge. ⚡
Klaus Lee: Thunderballs isn't the kind of game that offers bold proposals, but it does a great job of delivering a competent challenge with a more retro feel. However, it may not be as easy to digest for younger players, who weren't forged with the punishing adventures of an older era of video games.
