HAMSTERMIND

Critic Reviews for HAMSTERMIND
What happens when you combine archeology, puzzle-solving and hamsters? You get Hamstermind, the adorable puzzle game by indie dev Righteous Tree. Solve puzzles and dive deeper into a mysterious pyramid in search of treasure. The premise has just enough going for it to keep you intrigued and the puzzles themselves are actually pretty relaxing and cozy. I wasn’t ever bored in my time with Hamstermind. It’s not revolutionizing the puzzle solver genre but it also doesn’t need to.
Hamstermind is a lean and well-executed puzzle game. Without trying to reinvent formulas, the game relies on clear mechanics, consistent progression, and a charming setting to win over the player. The journey through the pyramid manages to balance challenge and accessibility, offering enough content for both those seeking something more casual and those who want to complete all the secrets.

Hamstermind is an intriguing puzzle game with plenty of heart, personality, and appeal. The easy-going vibes with a lingering mystery offered a fun dynamic that kept the momentum going. Though there is still more to discover after the main ending, not all players will feel the pull to go further. However, I look forward to seeing what other mysteries can be unearthed in the ancient tomb.
