Critic Reviews for Taito Milestones 4
Taito Milestones continues to be a solid compilation of classic games. I do wish they had more history and were available on more platforms, but if you own a Switch, these are easy recommendations. Looking forward to reviewing Taito Milestones 5 next year when it inevitably drops on Switch.
Taito Milestones 4 includes some excellent classics as well as oddities that not everyone will enjoy and overall, retro gamers like me are sure to smile as they explore the included titles and figure out the less conventional gameplay formulas. 🕹️
Taito Milestones 4 presents ten more classic Taito titles released in arcades during the 80s and early 90s. The selection includes some heavy hitters from Taito's catalog, as well as some lesser-known games, and the compilation's extras are conspicuously absent, just like in previous installments—beyond the configuration options for each game, the save state feature, and the online leaderboards. Nevertheless, these kinds of products dedicated to preserving classic games are appreciated, though they could be given a bit more polish.
