Even for comedic value, I would still not suggest the $8 price tag. While not broken, the game is boring, uninspired, and plain ugly. Offering no co-op at all means even if you wanted to Mystery Science Theater the game, it would be a boring mess. Steer clear of Rock Zombie. It's not undead. It's just dead altogether.
A beat’em up in the style of what was done in the early 90s but which is not fluid at all, has a faulty and dull gameplay and overall is simply not fun does not carve its own space in the Wii U’s online lineup.

It all chugs along quite nicely for a few levels: hack away at groups of zombies, find a few collectible coins and generally bash and smash your way through to the end of the stage. Unfortunately, it all becomes monotonous and infuriating very quickly
At multiple points I found myself having to kill off my own character in order to get a boss to reset. One boss in particular would work himself into a spot where he could no longer attack me, nor could he be harmed in any way. On the bright side the game looks and sounds reasonably nice.
