All of the gameplay plays perfectly fine, but it never really becomes anything special and feels pretty squeezed dry. At a certain point, you’ve pretty much seen it all. More packages to deliver and levels getting bigger; that is pretty much all there is to it. Still, it is a refreshing platformer in a genre that also seems to have been squeezed dry in recent years. Audiovisually, the game looks fine. The dust clouds rising from under your feet, the sleek platforms you maneuver through, and the character design all look great. Consequently, HELLBOUND INC is a game that scores a solid pass and presents a nice challenge for any puzzle platformer enthusiast.

While I enjoyed the cartoony corporate satire at the heart of this game, I just couldn’t connect with its complex platforming mechanics and over-elaborate level design. However, fans of Jump King-style precision platformers should perhaps give this a go (at time of writing, the demo is still live). Alas, I won’t be making any more zero-hour contract deliveries in Hell.
