After playing Creepshow I’m still not convinced it wanted to be an actual game.
I would dearly love to say this game is amazing; I really would, but it just feels like it is unfinished and missing elements that could have made it better than it is. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more chapters in the future that will wrap up the stories so far. But for the moment I would say that Creepshow is a game that just misses the mark.
Creepshow captures the spirit of its iconic horror anthology with a charming point-and-click adventure, but its short campaign leaves us wanting more.

While I would love to see more games from this franchise, Creepshow itself is a fun but flawed first entry. Fun stories and striking visuals carry the show, but awkward animation, boring gameplay, and a disappointing two-story length hold it back. Horror and franchise fans are still likely to enjoy this game, but may be left wanting more, with very little to no replayability to satisfy that hunger.
I was rather disappointed with the stories of Creepshow, as they were all, well, terrible. The first storybook had some okay moments, but just like all the game it lacks a little build up. Our overall story with the four kids is non-existent and had me scratching my head thinking what the hell. And what really ticked me off was just short the stories were. I, personally, haven’t consumed any other form of media when it comes to the Creepshow series. But these creepy tales come across as just bare bones, or that they are using this game to show proof of concept. Gameplay is minimal, but that is okay due to the main focus being the stories, but I did expect a little more for a point & click game. If they make another Creepshow game and turn up the horror and improve on future tales, then I will buy. For now, however, Creepshow gets the Thumb Culture Bronze Award.
