The King's Challenge is a serviceable old school point 'n' click adventure that should appeal to fans that found the recent remake by Sierra a tad too removed from the spirit of the original.

The Order of the Thorne is a title that is best left to the 80's for all intents and purchases. Buy it if you are a child of the 80's or just insanely curious.

A world that makes Disneyland feel threatening in comparison, a cast of the most lifeless characters imaginable, a look that is as pretty as it is uninspiring, and a level of challenge that's insulting to the average adventure gamer. In other words: Order of the Thorne: The King's Challenge isn't just mediocre, but mediocre to the point of annoyance! Hopefully, Infamous Quests will not repeat the same mistakes with the next page of this fairytale, Fortress of Fire, and spices things up a bit.

With so many massive role-playing games or padded action games, it's refreshing to play an old-school point-and-click adventure without the old-school frustration and without the padded content for length. It's short, sweet, to the point, and it helps that it's as fun as it is funny. I'm more than happy to take a break from the AAA scene with a game like this at any time.
