Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey Remastered Reviews
Grimm may earn himself one too many slices of pizza for your efforts at wordplay, but Letter Quest Remastered doesn’t have enough content to really satiate my appetite. That’s a compliment in many ways, a game that has a clever gameplay mechanic but just needs to find more ways to explore it.
With all of this in mind I’m pleased to say that Letter Quest Remastered does a pretty fine job of carving out a place for itself in the lineup of Switch gamers looking for something more casual. If you like to get out your thesaurus and flex your vocabulary while having to contend with the obstacles your enemies love to throw in your path it does a fine job. What helps distinguish it is the level of strategy you’ll be able to employ while doing so.
If you’re anything like me, finding the perfect word that gives the most amount of damage possible to an enemy is so rewarding and enjoyable. Letter Quest Remastered is a delightful adventure with a true sense of self accomplishment. If you’re a fan of role playing games, scrabble, or now a mix of the two, you will not be disappointed.
Family friendly spelling game that's a great addition to the Xbox One arcade library. Highly addicting with great replay value! Avoid if you don't like spelling and play if your thesaurus isn't dusty.
Throughout Grimm’s journey to enjoy pizza, I had a bast playing. I spent many hours jamming out to the music and spelling out “dirty” words while trying to obtain every star I could. When I failed, I didn’t feel the kind of defeat where I wanted to stop. No, this was the kind where I NEEDED to try again. The mark of a great puzzle game in my eyes. I had many moments where I told myself it would be the last round only to keep going and find ways rearrange my day just to fit more time in.
To be honest, I was not expecting much from Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey Remastered, but fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised to find a rather captivating game.
