OmniBus Reviews
What originally comes off as something completely mindless ends up turning out to be an incredibly exhilarating action games that truly tests your skills…and also happens to have a lot of fun moments that are completely mindless. OmniBus is a crude blast of old-school action that conceals some incredibly addictive gameplay and its bus-crashing glory is worth checking out. Heck, at the very least, it understands stylistic suck better than 12 Oz. Mouse.
The developers of OmniBus decided to put humor over fun and created a game that might do well for a couple of Twitch streamers or YouTubers, as I can imagine it might be fun to watch. But it sure isn't fun to play.
As a joke Omnibus might be fun for a few hours, but playing it through legitimately, level by level, is an exercise in diminishing patience.
Omnibus is an enjoyable game with a fun premise, but the novel concept is brought down by wonky physics.
OmniBus would work better if it rolled with its own punches instead of creating a system that only exists to be fought with—the reward is smaller when randomness does so much of the grunt work. Just sit back and let the car drive you into the sun. Life just flies by so fast when you’re having fun.
