The Elder Scrolls Online: The Dark Brotherhood Reviews
Whilst The Dark Brotherhood may have been a fan favourite in the past, this time around it just seems to miss the mark. Completing the repeatable quests to unlock guild quests gets tedious with its slow progress, and the story itself does nothing to particularly grab you. The biggest problems are with the lag that you'll be facing, though.
Dark Brotherhood is a chance for longtime fans to experience a real treat and joins previous DLC Orsinium as a content addition that enriches the Elder Scrolls lore for those who are curious to know more about the series’ past.
The Dark Brotherhood is now arrived, and the clean and “safe” Tamriel we all knew in Elder Scrolls Online is changed for the better. With the addition of the guild proper, assassinations, and the familiar Gold Coast, Dark Brotherhood is the most exciting update yet for ESO, and a great sign of things forthcoming.
Compared to the previous fantastic Thieve's Guild, Dark Brotherhood feels like a misstep. There is an absolute ton of other new features alongside this DLC, but they're part of the new ESO 2.0 patch and can't be considered a part of the Dark Brotherhood DLC. That in mind, the DLC itself feels quite lacking. The zone is fantastic and the tone fitting, but the assassinations get repetitive, and the story is far too short.
