Critic Reviews for Ghost 1.0
Ghost 1.0 is a lighthearted Metroidvania that adapts a sprawling sci-fi setting with some really creative takes on the genre. Even though it originally released on PC two years ago, it still manages to fit right into the Switch's growing library of quality sprite-based action adventures. If you're looking for a less somber journey after the harrowing depths of Hollow Knight, you could do far worse than Ghost 1.0 as long as the forgettable story and cringe-inducing humor aren't too off-putting..
Ghost 1.0 has the heart of a beloved project and the soul of the best Metroidvania games in the industry. Despite its few quirks, the balance between accessibility and challenge, coupled with intriguing writing makes Ghost 1.0 a worthy pickup for even those with some curiosity about the game.
Francisco returns on the scene with another metroidvania, adding, in order to renew the genre, rogue-like elements. The result is satisfying but imperfect, especially as regards the balance. It represents a shooter inspired exponent of the genre, with a slight irony that lies underneath and involves the player. If youre a fan, youd better have a look at it.

A fun blend of futuristic and retro, with good game mechanics and a strong sense of nerd humour.
Ghost 1.0 is a great game with a great visual style and interesting story and characters, that has moments of huge frustration because of the insane difficulty increases.
Ghost 1.0 is an exciting action game with a robust Metroidvania world to explore.
There’s no shortage of Metroidvania games on the Nintendo Switch. Ghost 1.0 is fun to explore, features some great music, and has some memorable weapon upgrades. However, the boring environments, mediocre story, and senseless kill rooms hold it back form being something truly special.
