Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak: Special Gigs Reviews
An interesting and great-looking game that blends the visual novel genre with poorly thought-out strategic combat.
Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs is an interesting interactive novel, but occidental users are not used to this kind of games. Despite of that, it a good offering that only fails on its combat system.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak: Special Gigs is a neat game hampered by a lack of explanations of how things work. The visual novel parts are fun and feature some great characters. The actual ghost hunting part is cool as wel, but the game needs to do a better job at letting you know how it works. Other than that, I enjoyed my time with the game for this Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak: Special Gigs review.
As you can tell from our Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak: Special Gigs review, this is a “love it or hate it” type of release. The supernatural aspects of the game’s story are interesting and keep you going, but the battle gameplay mechanics might get in your way. Hopefully, our review lets you know if this is a game you should add to your collection or one you should avoid.
Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs delivers thrilling narrative and interesting characters that make this visual novel one worth to play despite a muddled and sometimes frustrating gameplay.

Ultimately, Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs is more of Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters, for better as well as for worse. The changes to the systems aren't enough to alleviate some of the frustration of the original, but for players that are open to the experience (or who enjoyed things the first time around), there's a lot to like about it.
Those who haven’t played Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs can now pick up a cleverly built mix of RPG and visual novel on PC. From its animate characters to the toys and fights the game offers, there’s a lot of effort put in to make its audience a participant, instead of a passive element.
Fun visual novel with hardcore strategy elements
Classy in tone and hugely interesting in design, this is a game that is worth supporting simply on that basis; there's some elements that don't work as well as they should, but then that's the consequence of experimentation. What is important is that the game is deeply playable, very creative, and hugely entertaining as a result.
Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs is a refined version of the original, while still maintaining the signature weirdness that made the initial release so charming.
With the extended story and improved combat system, Daybreak Special Gigs is an excellent enhancement to an already fantastic game.
Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters : Daybreak Special Gigs is an enhanced version of the original game released in 2015 that takes the world a step further with improvements of combat and additional content. The story is where this game shines the most, featuring ghost hunting tales and interesting characters. Combat can be a fun experience at times, but it is hard to get used to. For those who are into Japanese games, visual novels, and paranormal stories, this game is definitely worth a look.
