It's more than fine for a few gaming get-togethers, but with limited customization options, only a single map, and relatively simple mechanics it doesn't achieve the depth needed for repeat sessions.
Rocket Wars is a simple game ideal for a little competition amongst friends or for achievement hunter. For first group it will provide a few round of fun on a budget. For the second one it will bring full set of achievements in under an hour.

I felt that Rocket Wars is a fine addition to local game nights, it has fast paced frantic action in a simplified format.
Games like Rocket Wars are honestly getting hard to review without a bit of a jaded tone...
