X-Morph: Defense Reviews
X-Morph: Defense is a terrific pick up for someone who enjoys twin-stick shoot-‘em-ups but is looking for some more variety other than just blasting everything on screen. The tactical strategy required to complete levels added solid replayability and allowed me to try multiple ways to creatively destroy the human race. Other than the piercing guilt of destroying my homeland of Canada, I had a really fun experience with X-Morph and can place it firmly on my recommended list.
If you love shmups and tower defense games and are looking for a game to keep returning to, there’s a globe filled with humans that needs conquering. Be ready, though — world domination won’t just be handed to you.
X-Morph: Defense fixes the tedium of tower defense games by blending it with high-octane twin-stick shooter gameplay, and the end result is great. Definitely worth playing portably on Nintendo Switch.
Tower Defense meets arcade action - and the mix works: X-Morph: Defense thrills with its chic presentation, thrilling battles and outstanding map design on the Nintendo Switch.

With little replay value incentives and a campaign that lacks the qualities which make for a compelling experience, it is very hard to recommend this game even with its lower price tag.
X-Morph: Defense is a treat for fans of action and tower defense games, as its simple but fun mechanics will keep players marveled for many hours. Its origins in the PC world mean that its controls don't feel entirely correct on a console but the game's wonderful visual displays, not to mention its absurd and hilarious humour will be more than enough to build up on its gameplay mechanics.

This is possibly the greatest trick X-Morph: Defense has up it’s sleeve; it can be very challenging at times, but it gives you all of the tools you need to exert utter dominance over the incoming threat if you can pay the time and attention to plan correctly, and to adapt to the changes that each wave brings. Flexibility and change are the big elements that set X-Morph’s brand of tower defense apart from the rest, requiring you to always be on your toes and to be equally skilled in being proactive and reactive.
Folks who like tower defense and twin-stick shooters should enjoy X-Morph: Defense on the Nintendo Switch. The experience offers up a ton of variety and the replayability factor is high. Not to mention the level of planning and strategy required only adds to the enjoyment. And well playing as the bad guy’s rock.
