Retribution, the fourth DLC map pack for Infinite Warfare, arrives first on PlayStation®4, delivering four new epic multiplayer maps and a chilling zombies co-op experience, The Beast from Beyond, set in a desolate military base on a distant Ice Planet. Retribution takes the fight to new Infinite Warfare multiplayer environments, including Carnage, a post apocalyptic race track along the coast Altitude, a high-end, sky high shopping mall located on the edges of the universe Depot 22, a watering hole at the end of civilization and Heartland, a simulation of small town America and a re-imagining of the classic Call of Duty®: Ghosts map, Warhawk. The Beast from Beyond will conclude the 5-part zombies experience and will take our heroes to space. The four maps are... • Carnage – A post-apocalyptic race track along the California coast, Carnage features long sight lines and environmental hazards including a fire trap players can activate on command to roast their enemies. • Heartland – In Heartland, teams will go head-to-head in a simulation of small town America that is a re-imagining of the classic Call of Duty: Ghosts map, Warhawk. Players can pop into the local ice cream shop for a treat, and then take out enemies down the street with a Black Hole Generator. • Altitude – Set in a high-end, sky high shopping mall located on the edges of the universe, Altitude pushes teams around a chaotic center where quick flank routes are key to victory. Additional features include floating lush waterfalls that border the map. • Depot 22 – Depot 22 is a watering hole at the end of civilization that focuses on mid-ranged encounters waged in a medium-sized, three-lane map. Players can battle in the cantina for close-quarter combat or engage with enemies wall-running off of a moving train.

Reviews

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was an acceptable ride from start to finish, but that just isn't enough. It didn't hit the same lows as Ghosts, but it really exposed how long in the tooth Infinity Ward is getting. If Sledgehammer's WWII has a strong debut, they'll without question be the weakest of the three, and Retribution hasn't really helped their case. Saved by the zombies!

Even though the zombies adventure is sure to be fun for those who are hardcore fans, it is definitely not an experience that newbies or those on the fence will enjoy too much.

A solid ending for Infinite Warfare's year. We're getting three new maps and a remastered one, and a great Zombie mode's final chapter. Maybe we've seen many similar maps in the past, but their design and new features are a worthy addition.

I guess you could say this isn't broken to any extent, but it's just a poor map selection and a bad ending to the Infinite Warfare season pass.
