Critic Reviews for Murderous Pursuits
There is potential for amusing cat-and-mouse exchanges, but a lobby full of humans is hard to find.
Murderous Pursuits is an irregular experience with a strong lack of elements to produce a real motivation to enjoy hours and hours of murdering in the ship. It's a shame: looks different to any other game lately.

Murderous Pursuits is a fine continuation of The Ship and the concepts it implemented so well. The core of the game is extremely solid, delivering a fun multiplayer experience throughout every match. The only problem is that there's just not enough here to keep most people coming back on a regular schedule. For the price the amount of content is fine, but the missing potential at launch is tough to get past.
Murderous Pursuits is an entertaining, inventive, and accessible online multiplayer experience hobbled by its technical issues, stingy amount of content, and lack of polish. The game's developers are promising to brush up and expand the game over the coming months, but will it ever reach its full potential? Only time will tell. There's fun to be had at this murder party, but you're probably best showing up fashionably late.
From its amusing setting to its solid gameplay mechanics, Murderous Pursuits has a lot going for it.
As someone who was a big fan of the Assassin's Creed multiplayer template, I'm saddened to see that Murderous Pursuits basically functions as a stripped-down barebones version of that same concept. The game's Victorian contest of cat and mouse where players are always both the cat *and* the mouse is certainly a unique find amid the usual competitive fare, there's just not enough meat on its bones to keep more casual players invested over the long term.
Kill-or-be-killed game with a good idea and tracing system, but with poor content and without players.

Murderous Pursuits is a lot of fun to play. It's challenging, yet fair. With the different abilities, areas to hide, and compass, everyone has an equal chance to survive and win. With regular content updates, Murderous Pursuits can become a powerhouse in the cat and mouse gaming genre.
