Critic Reviews for Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Edition
Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Edition is a fantastic addition to the Switch’s roster of fighting games and sits right up there with the very best examples of the genre the platform has to offer, mostly due to the fact that XX Accent Core Plus R is just about the strongest, most technically refined entry in the series.
Guilty Gear relies on it's timeless features - perfect gameplay and unique audiovisual experience a fighting game can offer. However, with only two games released on Switch, the series feels incomplete and only Accent Core Plus R is truly worthwhile.

Guilty Gear is an OK port of a rough start for a classic fighting franchise. The characters are unbalanced, the arcade mode is really unbalanced and gets borderline cheap in difficulty, and the lack of much to do besides getting every ending and unlocking characters leaves this game to be rather lacking for the $10 price tag.
