Dragon Age: The Veilguard has won game-of-the-year at the fifth-annual Gayming Awards, an LGBTQ+ award show. The show raises funds for the Gayming Foundation, a charity that champions inclusivity and diversity in the gaming industry.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard was nominated for a few major awards last year, but ultimately only took home one: a GLAAD award for Outstanding Video Game. It received a nomination for Innovation in Accessibility at last year's Game Awards.

This year's show was held in West Hollywood, and was hosted by content creators DEERE and Milady Confetti.

The Veilguard's protagonist, Rook, took home the award for the best LGBTQ+ character, with voice actor Erika Ishii receiving the award for Best LGBTQ+ Voice Actor for her portrayal of Rook.
