Konami is keen to treat Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater as just one more step on the road to further remakes of its classic catalog. After Silent Hill 2's surprisingly great 2024 remake came along, Bloober Team's announcement that it would move on to a reimagined version of that series' first chapter was treated as (mostly) welcome news. On the Metal Gear front, we've not heard of future remakes, but things are looking pretty good.
So long as Metal Gear Solid 3's 2025 remake performs well enough to justify such future expenditures, that is. Even then, Konami might not return to Snake's saga in this fashion, but surely, the odds will increase exponentially if the renowned publisher reaps its anticipated rewards from this shiny return to a beloved game.
The recently-relaunched Game Informer had a chance to chat with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater producers Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado at a New York City press event, and they couldn't resist the chance to ask if there's a plan in place to keep remaking games in Hideo Kojima's legendary franchise.
Okamura's and Korekado's shared response might not be the most original I've ever heard, but...
