Long-Requested PSN Store Feature Is Finally Becoming A Reality

With digital games being more convenient to buy than physical media, there's one thing that it still can't beat, and that's remedying accidental purchases, at least on the PlayStation Store.

Ever since the introduction of PlayStation's online digital store in the PS3 era, gamers have had to contend with accidental purchases. That's changing in the US starting today.

PSN Store Refunds Can Now Be Processed With A Few Caveats

Sony is now allowing gamers to request a refund on purchases made on the PlayStation Store. However, for those who are thinking of abusing it, you can't play a game for 24 hours and then ask for a refund or anything of that sort.

When it comes to games and DLC (downloadable content) refunds, Sony requires that the buyer has not downloaded or streamed the game/DLC, and the refund request must be made within 14 days of purchase.

If you want to see whether an accidental purchase is still allowed to be refunded, you can log into your account, check your Transaction History, and select "eligible transaction."

Sony has also confirmed that players cannot refund PSN wallet top-ups.
