Lost Soul Aside might have its fair share of problems, but the viral claim that its enemies are too passive has already been proven wrong and called "staged".

For a long time now, character action game fans have been looking forward to Lost Soul Aside, a game that originally started as a solo project more than a decade ago. That long wait finally came to an end a few days ago, but it seems that most players agree that Lost Soul Aside wasn't worth all of the anticipation.

Since launching, Lost Soul Aside has been met with some pretty mixed reception based on its poor performance, laughable voice acting, and strange movement. While it's true that there's more to critique about Lost Soul Aside than most of us expected, there's one claim making the rounds that seems to be a bad-faith take, or at least an uninformed one.

For all of the things that Lost Soul Aside seems to get wrong, one of its generally agreed-upon positives is the combat mechanics, which have been compared to other character action games.
