A Week After Being The Subject Of Memes, Lost Soul Aside Has Released Its First Major Patch

It's been a week since Lost Soul Aside released on PlayStation 5 and PC, and it's pretty fair to say that things weren't pretty. Its performance and seemingly low-budget approach earned the game a "Mixed" rating on Steam, something that it still holds a week later.

That wasn't the end of things, either, as the game quickly became the subject of Internet memes due to some of its cutscenes, and also reportedly only managed to sell four copies during a sponsored livestream event. Like we said up top, it hasn't been pretty.

However, a week later, its developer UltiZero Games has released a major patch that seemingly solves many of the title's issues, helping push it closer to the vision its director, Yang Bing, had envisioned.

In a post shared on Twitter, Lost Soul Aside has released a major patch that is now live, fixing a number of gameplay-related issues that had soured early adopters.

Specifically, NPC animations have been enhanced, along with more responsiveness in the moment-to-moment gameplay. Elsewhere, visual effects have been improved for clarity, and difficulty has been tweaked.
