One Major Feature Missing From Cyberpunk 2077 Could Be On Its Way For The Sequel

It seems like the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 might be getting a big feature that was cut from the original game: multiplayer.

Cyberpunk 2, originally known as Project Orion, is now in pre-production, and we don’t know much about it other than that it’s expected to include at least one city to visit and explore other than just Night City.

However, CD Projekt Red recently posted several job listings related to Cyberpunk 2 as well as several other projects in development. It’s all pretty much what you’d expect to see for a game in early production, but one of the positions they’re hiring for is a Lead Network Engineer.

Taking Another Shot At Multiplayer

According to the description for the Lead Network Engineer position, their job would be to “play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the network architecture and online systems,” and they and their team would work to “ensure seamless and robust online systems.”

This suggests that Cyberpunk 2 will have some sort of online multiplayer features, something that was notably absent from the original game, but not for lack of trying from CD Projekt Red.
