With Battlefield 6's Season 1 update, developer Battlefield Studios has addressed complaints surrounding a promotional skin often associated with Monster Energy drinks because of its color scheme. The skin, officially called System Override, is actually exclusive to those who bought specific Razer products during a BF6 promotion, but quickly became the game's most infamous outfit.
The bright green color of the System Override skin has since been toned down with the beginning of Battlefield 6 Season 1. BattlefieldNET has shared comparison screenshots, showing that the original neon green, which is indeed reminiscent of Monster Energy's signature colors, is now a much darker shade after the update. System Override now sports a very deep green, which does not clash as much with BF6's general military aesthetic.
The System Override skin quickly became the laughingstock of Battlefield 6 after its record-breaking release. Wacky skins have become a point of contention in live-service games – Call of Duty is notorious for clashing character designs, like the Beavis and Butt-Head skins or the one that lets you play as a shark. Battlefield 6 so far appears committed to a relatively realistic aesthetic, though there have been a couple of exceptions....
