Although Escape from Tarkov maintained a rather steady level of popularity throughout its Early Access state, it has certainly received a significant bump of "mainstream" level flair now that it's in a 1.0 state, on Steam and endings that involve, well, managing to escape from Tarkov.

If you need any further proof of how popular Escape from Tarkov is, then know that last week, two streamers managed to outbeat Kai Cenat — yes, that Kai Cenat — in active Twitch subscribers.

Speaking of endings, as first spotted by Insider Gaming, one of Tarkov's four endings has an absolutely cruel finish, provided that A) you've managed to make it all the way to the end and B) have a full squad of people alongside you.

Because if you manage to fulfill those two parameters, then Tarkov will let you know that not everyone can experience the ending. Specifically, after fighting all the way through Terminal, the entire squad is informed that the Zubr boat can only take three people.

The Zubr boat cannot take everyone. The evacuation will begin only when there are 3 people left on the pier....
