Assassin's Creed: Black Flag will not be delisted. Ubisoft just confirmed this in the showcase for the remake, Black Flag Resynced, addressing fears that it will completely replace the original.
This comes after Ubisoft previously delisted the original release of Assassin's Creed 3 to sell the remastered version, despite including unpopular changes and removing multiplayer. Now, Resyncned is poised to be very different from its original release, but it won't erase its predecessor from existence.
This point was raised when the devs were discussing what is and isn't going to be included in Resynced. Here, it was confirmed that the leaks were accurate, and the remake is only going to include the single-player content and everything from the base game. This means that multiplayer and DLC content are being left behind.
"Resynced is a 2026 take on the original legend," says Paul Fu, creative director on Black Flag Resynced. "And for those of you who are curious, the original will still be available."
This backs up the claim that DLC and multiplayer won't even be considered for post-release content with Resynced, regardless of how well it sells. The message from the devs here is that, if you miss this...
