Unfortunately, the point-and-click adventure *Cat and Ghostly Road* suffers from sub-optimal controls on console. The little ghost stories are interesting, though a bit brief in places. The puzzles vary in difficulty but are well integrated into the story.

The technical glitches shouldn't have happened, but they only slightly tarnish the overall impression. I can highly recommend Banishers despite its flaws; here the developer has produced a great game that hopefully will be successful.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH convinced me back then—in its version without the INTERGRADE suffix—that a multi-part remake could genuinely work. The presentation is naturally far more impressive with its contemporary polish than revisiting the original. The expansion doesn't feel padded, and the story changes leave you eager for the sequel.

Record's Fragment: Keian Command Championship can entertain interested players for a few hours. However, you'll frequently face the same boss encounters. While the teams and their unique scenes offer some variety, there's ultimately too much repetition overall.

Dragon Quest Builders is a successful PC port of the building adventure. It doesn't need to hide behind its sequel. Changes like the superswing and mouse-driven block placement integrate well into the game and make the experience more pleasant.

Since I was primarily interested in the story, 'The Indigo Disk' falls a little short of the first DLC part for me. The double battles didn't quite captivate me, and the structural parallels to the main game in reduced form feel somewhat thin — though the scope is acceptable for a DLC.

In this state, unfortunately, it can only be a red light in the end, because thus over 7 hours of playtime were lost. It's really a pity, because the game gave me a lot of fun until then and I would have very much liked to complete it. So whoever likes to play on risk should buy Born of Bread, as it gets a lot right.

After the initial impression was still positive, the battles throughout the game unfortunately ruined it for me. Although exploration and the numerous possibilities are positive, the battles unfortunately became a hard-to-ignore fun-killer that made up a significant part of the game.

Final Fantasy XVI Echoes of the Fallen pleased me during its short runtime. But that's owed more to the foundation than the added content itself. The combat is still enjoyable, and for that reason the new material sufficed. However, to truly recommend this DLC, it lacks sufficient scope and innovation in my opinion.

Alan Wake 2 overall entertained me, even though some of the combat encounters and the limited save points occasionally caused more frustration than genuine tension. The game also crashed frequently for me, even after several updates. With plenty of exploration included, my playtime ended up being around 30 hours. I did enjoy the atmosphere, and the quieter sections did not bother me. Fans of the original and of other recent Remedy Entertainment titles will recognize quite a few familiar elements. The radio broadcasts return as well, although this time there is a running gag that I personally did not find particularly funny. Additionally, songs are no longer automatically played after them, though radio shows, music, and other content can still be replayed—just not ideally during dangerous situations. Visually, the game also looks solid on Xbox Series S, although some character models occasionally fall into the uncanny valley. I consider Alan Wake 2 a solid continuation. Anyone who enjoyed the predecessor will likely not go wrong with this one.

Dredge delivers a wonderful horror atmosphere even in the main game. The areas are variably designed across visuals, gameplay, and NPCs. The fishing gameplay is fun and sustains engagement through its variations over the entire game.

Fetch-Quest: The Game, I mean Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, can entertain for a few hours. However, the fetch quests wear out quickly and you're often traveling through the same areas. In my opinion the combat system is a bit too simple to motivate for long periods, and the story drifts along for ages.

It remains, despite everything, a game of which one has practically heard nothing, but when one plays it, one can hardly let go of it until one has finished it. Especially considering that this work was created by a single person, one can easily overlook critical points like the graphics and enjoy the great story and gameplay.

The Pale Reach is in no way inferior to Dredge's main game. The gloomy, threatening atmosphere is almost palpable. The narwhal serves as a fitting creature to represent danger in the waters. You barely notice in time when it becomes eerie again—or stays that way—if you've stayed awake too long once more.
