Tales from the Borderlands: Episode One is just one (relatively) big nudge in the ribs to all Borderlands fans as if to say "did you get that reference? Did'ya?" Luckily, in true Telltale style, there's something good for the rest of us as well. It's a solid first episode that brings in anticipation for episodes to come.

Escape Dead Island never manages to create anything impressive, with very little in terms of redeeming qualities. It tries to stand out from the other installments in several ways by taking on a new direction, but it ends up providing a frustrating and bland experience that is easy to recommend skipping.

Ubisoft has a formula for Far Cry and they're sticking to it, as there's very little deviation from what made Far Cry 3 a success. Far Cry 4 is more of what's familiar, including an aging engine. That said, it's a fun formula for open world gameplay enthusiasts.
