With effective visuals, a moving story, and a powerful message, Through the Darkest of Times is a must for anyone who enjoys historical and interactive story-based games.
Hilarious satire, clever art style, and increasingly complex gameplay make Here Be Dragons a pleasant experience all around. Mild mechanic hiccups blemished my experience from time to time, but not enough to discourage from taking to the sea time and time again.
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine could have had deep mythology building for 1930s Americana, but instead it offers only enough to get you intrigued before forcing you back into the grind-laden, story-gathering crawl the rest of the game is.
Willy Jetman: Astromonkey's Revenge is a charming indie shooter with plenty of adventures to be had, but its repetitive music, inconsistent controls and surprising difficulty curve hold it back slightly. Worth a look if you enjoy a challenge, and a quirky story.
Might & Magic: Chess Royale is an excellent game for passing small bits of time, though the lack of depth makes it feel stale over time. Nothing revolutionary has been added to either genre here. Regardless, if proper updates persist, this could be an excellent addition to the autobattler genre.
In all, It Came From Space and Ate Our Brains: Remastered is a perfectly fine shooter that offers plenty of fun.
This is the best DBZ game that I've ever played and like the anime it's based on, it comes with flaws of its own. I floated in the middle when scoring this one, but rounded up because when this game hits the right notes, it hits them perfectly.
Journey To The Savage Planet is a short, sweet and near perfectly crafted puzzle platformer with a refreshing and satisfying take on co-op progression. Those who love to explore, climb into, under and on top of everything to find hidden areas in the games they play are in for a treat with this one.
Immersive, fun and well worth your time. The combat is great with a lot of weapons to experiment with and each battle is enjoyable. The tracking is good and the VR implementation is great.
For an Indie title, this game has been one of my favourites. It is definitely something to get stuck into and perfect to kill a bit of free time. I feel it fits the needs of so many gamers at the moment, a nice break from all the overly saturated game genres we currently play. It is beautiful, both visually and audibly. Nothing seemed broken or negatively affected gameplay in any way. I couldn't really give a suggestion on how to make this game any better. It is just right, which to me gives this game a well deserved perfect ten. What a great little title.
Colorful, chaotic geometry simultaneous made me want to run to the hills and try "just one more time" when playing through Thoth. Excellently polished game that deserves a spot on everyone's Nintendo Switch without a doubt.
Excellent rhythm game that has truly stood the test of time. At the low price point, it is hard not to recommend 140 for any Nintendo Switch owner looking for an enjoyable jaunt through a colorful beat.
Despite some technical issues here and there, Sports Interactive have managed to retain the feel of Football Manager on the Switch.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is a perfect expansion and worth every penny. The new content is substantial, but the sheer amount of improvements, extensions to existing ideas and game changing additions offered up alongside the new area and monsters makes it so easy to recommend. If you enjoyed Monster Hunter:World, you should buy Monster Hunter World: Iceborne today.
In its current state, I have a hard time recommending Farming Simulator 20 for the Nintendo Switch. If this is a title you just can't pass up, get the iOS or Android version and save a lot of money. Maybe GIANTS will consider throwing Nintendo a bone when Farming Simulator 21 is released.
Ultimately, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is an entertaining, albeit often simple, game full of sporting events that'll get friends and family set for some multiplayer fun. It's not as comprehensive as it perhaps could be in the way it allows players to set up their multiplayer sessions, but the variety and charm when it comes to the way everything is presented helps lift the whole package up.
SuperEpic's satirical style might not be for everyone, but if you are OK with that aspect then this is an excellent addition to the ever growing Metroidvania genre. Graphics, soundtrack, and gameplay fit together beautifully, making SuperEpic difficult to put down.
Untitled Goose Game is unique, well-made and very streamlined. Everything works, it is a lot of fun and unlike anything I have played before. Its not often you get to experience something new so go out there, break stuff and become a real 'Goosance'. It is not often I make up a work but this game deserves it. Its brilliant.
Blair Witch captivated me in a way that no other horror game has ever done before. A brilliant story that is complimented by even better gameplay allows for an enjoyable, yet terrifying experience. It has a few issues in terms of gameplay but iron those out and it's near perfect.
